Northampton Mercury, June 21st 1862, transcribed by Susan Manton
We the undersigned, Charles Cecil Mitchell and John Gross, do hereby give notice that the Footpath, in the parish of Rushden, leading across Blowsick Close and the Home Close, from Blowsick to Washbrook Road, respectively in our occupations, into the road leading from Higham Ferrers to Knuston, will from this date, be stopped up, insomuch as it is not an awarded footpath, and has only hitherto been used by sufferance.
And we do further give notice that all persons from this date found trespassing upon the said close of land or either of them, will be prosecuted according to law.
Dated this 18th day of June 1862
Signed Charles Cecil Mitchell
