The Wellingborough News, 1st November 1895, transcribed by Jim Hollis
Mr. T. Tailby and Miss J. Bayes

Marriage

At the Old Baptist Chapel, on Monday morning, the nuptials of Mr. T. Tailby and Miss J. Bayes were celebrated. Both parties are well known and much respected, and there were a large number of friends present to witness the ceremony. The service was conducted by the Rev. W. J. Tomkins, and the choir of the chapel (of which the bridegroom is a valued member) were present, and sang during the service the hymns “The voice that breathed o’er Eden”, and “O love divine and golden,” the solo and chorus “Peace I give unto you,” the solo being taken by Miss Farey. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of many valuable presents, including a cabinet from the women’s services which have been conducted on Sunday afternoons by Miss Bayes, and the best wishes of their friends were expressed for the future happiness of Mr. and Mrs. Tailby.
