The first page of the register begins with a christening and no year is given suggesting one or more pages have been lost or removed. From the following marriages it is assumed the entry is for 1573.
A page is missing and so there are no entries for 1613-1619, and a half page is left blank where 1602 would be. From 1641 to 1662 the register is obviously deficient and the entries are not in strict order but are transcribed as originally listed.
In many places the ink has faded badly. Some entries have been deciphered with an ultra violet lamp.
There are no records from 1663-1705. From 1706-1723 the Bishop's Transcripts have been used as the next register starts 1723.
