Newton Bromswold Fete 2009
Fetes 1940s

This annual event was held on July 4th 2009, to raise funds for the church.
Priest-in-charge is John Tye, who judged the childrens Fancy Dress competition.

Stalls offering bric-a-brac, books, games of chance, plants and cakes lined the
street, and bunting was hung from the trees. There was also a coconut shie.
The Mission Band played music on the green in front of the church.

Ice cream sales were constant in the warm sunshine, and teas and cakes
were enjoyed in the street and garden of the bungalow oposite the green.
The grand sum of £2,455 was raised towards the church contribution to
general Church of England funds.
