CRICKET CLUBA meeting was held at the "Green Dragon" on Wednesday evening to take steps to form a cricket club for the town. There were present: Mr. A. Blundell, in the chair, and Messrs. T. Draper, E. Parker, G. Martin, B. Bradshaw, C. Parker, A. Martin, J. Randall, A. Parker, J. Lilley, A. White, T. Randall, T. Parker, G. Horn, C. Groome, Maples, and W. Lamb. The chairman, in opening the meeting, spoke as to the desirability of having a good club in the town. They had a good ground, and he could see no reason why they should not have as good a team turned out in Higham as in years gone by.

It was resolved to form a club and the following were appointed officers:- captain, A. Blundell; vice-captain, G. Horn; treasurer, A. Parker; secretary, A. Martin. It was resolved to have a committee of three members to assist the captain in arranging for matches and picking teams, and Messrs. T. Parker, T. Randall, and W. Lamb were appointed. It was resolved that the subscription be 2s. per season.
