The New SchoolmasterAt a special meeting of the School Managers on Monday evening it was unanimously resolved to recommend the appointment of Mr. Frank Margetts, of Warmington, near Oundle, to the position of headmaster of the Council Schools, vacant through the death of Mr. G. Hustwaite.
Mr. Margetts, who is 36 years of age, is a Rushden man, and was pupil teacher in the Rushden National Schools. He was trained at Chester college, and was a certificated teacher in St. Paul’s School, Northampton. He was afterwards appointed headmaster at Harrington, and subsequently at Warmington.
The Managers present at Monday’s meeting were Messrs. T. Patenall (chairman), F. Walker (vice-chairman), Alderman Owen Parker and W. Spong, Messrs. G. W. Kilsby and F. J. Shelton, with the Clerk (Mr. A. Mantle).
