Newton Bromswold

Newton Bromswold is a village and parish in the hundred of Higham Ferrers, on the border of the county adjoining Bedfordshire, and is distant 8½ miles from Wellingborough, and 3½ south-east from Higham Ferrers. The population in 1851 was 178, and the parish consists of about 800 acres of land. The Church, dedicated to St. Peter, is a small, ancient edifice. The living is a rectory, in the gift of All Souls College, Oxford, and incumbency of the Rev. William Taylor, M.A.
