Workhouse Records - Introduction

Details from various books of the Wellingborough Poor Law Union, to which Rushden & Newton Bromswold belonged, have been extracted and indexed. The first 3 (of 13) admissions & discharges book, a book of children boarded out, births at the Workhouse, together with four volumes of deaths have been combined into the index.

The Workhouse building still survives today as the Isebrook Hospital in Irthlingborough Road, Wellingborough.
