A Local Board for RushdenCounty Council Enquiry
The application, by order of the vestry, of the Parochial Committee, for a Board of Health, or Local Board as it is usually termed, for the parish of Rushden, was on July 31st referred by the Northamptonshire County Council to a committee of three of its members for enquiry and report. This enquiry was opened at the Vestry Hall, Rushden, on Friday before Mr. E. P. Monckton, (chief commissioner), Mr. C. J. K. Woolston, and Mr. W. E. D. Adkins. There were also in attendance Mr. H. P. Markham (clerk to the County Council), Mr. Herbert Sartoris, J.P., Mr. George Denton, C.C. (chairman of the Rushden Parochial Committee), Mr. Thomas Sanders C.C., Mr. M.
