Trefoil Guild
The Trefoil Guild was formed by ex-guides who had to retire when they reached 65.
Their aim is to raise funds and support the Guiding Movement in any way they can.

Higham Ferrers and Rushden Trefoil Guild

The Guild was first registered on 28.3.51 as Higham Ferrers District but later on 29.7.65 it was reregistered as Raunds and Higham Ferrers District. Later on 2.2.73 it had another name change and became Higham Ferrers and Rushden Trefoil Guild. In spite of the name we have had members from the surrounding areas such as Raunds and Burton Latimer and are delighted to welcome members from further afield.

Members can be any age from 18 upwards and tend to be ex Guiders who are no longer in active Guiding. This is not a requirement and anyone interested in upholding the Guide Promise and wishing to keep alive the spirit of Guiding is welcome to join. We aim to support Guiding but of course we have a lot of fun and enjoy each other's company.

We usually have a monthly meeting, often with a speaker, and in the summer we try to get out and about visiting gardens or places of interest. We also join in with Division and County events and even Regional and National activities whenever possible. We support local event such as the Mayors Market in Higham and the Getting to know Rushden week and are always keen to do activities to help others such as the Christmas child boxes and knitting "Teddies for Tragedies".

We are a lively and committed group of Guiding friends.
