Rushden R.A.F. Sergeant Missing

News has reached Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Perch, of 42, Newton-road, Rushden, that their eldest son, Sergeant Douglas William Perch, a Flight Engineer in the R.A.F., is missing as a result of recent operations. Sergt. Perch, who is 23, joined the R.A.F. in August, 1935, immediately after leaving school. He went to France in September, 1939, with one of the first squadrons, and was evacuated from Nantes in June 1940. He was educated at the Intermediate School, Rushden.

His youngest brother is training as a fighter pilot in Arizona, U.S.A. His father is chief clerk at the L.M.S. Goods Offices, Rushden.
