Ploughing for Victory 1940

The caption on this picture reads:

Rushden Ploughs for Victory - Schoolchildren interested in the ploughing of land on which, when peace returns, a new Senior School will be built. The site is now used as allotments.

This would be where the Rushden Secondary School - later the Pemberton School - was built in 1948.
It was closed in 1991 and pulled down. The Pemberton Centre was built on the site, with housing.
