Messrs. B. Denton and Son
Wartime Parcels Fund

Messrs. B. Denton and Son have just issued a balance sheet to their employees, giving details of their general subscription fund. The balance sheet shows that over £250 has been subscribed by the employers and employees during the past two years, and this amount has been used for the purpose of providing comforts for former employees now serving with the Colours. No fewer than 781 parcels have been sent from the office under the supervision of Mr. R. Tye, these having cost £191 17s. A donation of £34 has been given to the Belgian and Allied Relief Fund, £9 4s. to the Rushden Nursing Association, and £1 5s. to the Rushden Division St. John Ambulance Association. The sum of £16 7s. 7d. has been divided amongst employees in necessitous circumstances.
